Omani Farmer Dress


Bait Al Baranda displays how Omani farmer dress and the tools which he used to take care of trees in the farm. These dress is very similar to the new Male Omani dress (Dishdasha). Omanis has a special dress which is used by them only.

It also displays a basket used by the farmer to carry his tools and fruits. It was made from palm tree. Omanis used to made their own tools from the limited resources available to them. Palm tree is the famous and best tree in Oman because it can afford the hot weather.
It also demonstrates a robe used by the farmer to climb the palm tree. The robe was made from palm tree leaves as well.

    I like farmer dress and tools. Farmer work is really interesting. This museum have very nice things to visitors.

    I cant imagine how farmers used to wear this clothes and work in the hot weather of oman

    I think these clothes are the best in the hot weather because they are loose. In addition, Omanis used to use original cotton in making these cloths which helps them to make the dress more healthy.
